Fields in Trust

The organization formerly known as the National Playing Fields Association, to which we have been affiliated since the 1920s.  The organization provides a quarterly newsletter, free access to technical advice and to other publications.  This is invaluable to our work in supporting local communities.   FiT has been active in persuading governments and authorities to protect playing fields throughout the UK.

Over the years the College has been a strong supporter of EPF.  We have held two successful workshops at the College, focusing on the maintenance of pitches – an area where they have enormous experience and expertise.  We also use their facilities for some of our meetings.

Essex County Cricket Board

We have had links with ECCB for many years and jointly organized the Bursary Scheme for the training of Cricket Groundsmen in 1998 and 2000.  More recently in 2007 and 2008 we jointly organized a successful cricket tournament aimed at schools throughout Essex.  We intend to continue this scheme in future years.  For many years ECCB has hosted our AGM in their Pavilion free of charge.
